Maintenance Management

BLS will manage the complete process around repairs and maintenance on all vehicles which will include the following:

  • Implementation of preventative maintenance protocols to ensure incidence of major mechanical repairs are minimized
  • Monitoring of utilization to determine servicing requirements and scheduling of services due ensuring down time of vehicles is minimized
  • BLS makes use of a 24/7 call centre in support of after-hours servicing, repairs, breakdowns and technical assistance.
  • BLS has developed an electronic facility to download reports including service due reports, that indicate OEM recommended service intervals and projects when future services will become due.
  • A key component of the predictability of quality and price is the carefully managed ‘preferred supplier program’.
  • BLS has developed a significant database of historical information relating to maintenance transactions which is used for comparisons on quotations and the provision of authorizations.
  • All major mechanical repairs are inspected to determine cause and accountability.
  • BLS will inform the customer of the suitability of vehicles based on maintenance and repair expenses for consideration in optimizing the fleet profile and future vehicle purchases.
  • Tyre management and replacement
    Understanding the nature and magnitude of the tyre cost component on overall fleet costs. BLS and its suppliers will provide a tyre management service.
